The Problem and Its Setting

1. Introduction

Homemade Fire Alarm, as one of the most important things we

need in our home, is a big demand in the market industry nowadays. It is design

or created to detect the unwanted presence of fire in your home or in your

surrounding by monitoring environmental changes. It is a device that senses

smoke, typically as an indicator of fire In general, homemade fire alarm is very

essential to everyone because it is used to notify people when to evacuate away

from the place that has been touch by the fire or some places that is covered by

smoke. Through the homemade fire alarm, people will be aware from the danger

that is will to happen. It is designed to protect, and make people prepare for the

destructive fire.

According to the research, fire alarm system has a number of

devices working together to detect and warn people through visual and audio

appliances when smoke, fire, carbon monoxide or other emergencies are

present..

Fire alarm systems have become functionally more capable and

reliable in recent years. There are some people who are called practical, and

maybe can’t afford to buy expensive fire alarm, so therefore homemade fire

alarm was invented to use as a replacement of fire alarm system that is

available in the market industry.

Fire alarm system has the same components used to make, that

is why the Researchers think it may be possible to make a homemade fire

alarm. The researchers want to make a homemade fire alarm to help people in

their home, particularly to the community for they do not have enough funds or

resources of money to buy fire alarms to help people in their daily lives to be

safe and order.

2. Background of the Study

"Being prepared for a disaster is like being prepared for any other

important event in life". Here in the Philippines many people experience fire. It is

experienced not only at home but also at school, factory and other places. During

the year there have been many cases of fire. So we must the Filipinos to be

alarmed and prepared for this disaster.

As a Liceo de San Pedro student we have been able to make a

product that will solve this problem. Fire and smoke alarms will provide protection

to people who are not prepared for the disaster. Resolve the situation of the

Filipino. It is a big difference to the fire alarms sold. It is much cheaper and saves

more because of the materials used here

We did this to give ideas to adults especially to young people. For

any disaster will be prepared. And take good action on how this product is doing

without making a great deal of money. And our mission is to introduce and spread

the product in different places. That would have liked and used much in the future.

3. Statement of the Problem

This study was conducted to lessen the numbers of people who

died because of fire, to explore science, to help the people who can't afford the

fire alarm.

 What is the difference between the homemade fire alarm and fire alarm that can

be bought in the market?

 What are the advantages and disadvantages in this homemade fire alarm?

 What are the materials used in this homemade fire alarm?

 If this product will be success what can these product help in our country?

 Is this homemade fire alarm is effective like the fire alarm that can be bought in the

market?

 Can this product help us to be resourceful and uses the things we can see in our

house?

 Is this product is cheaper than the fire alarm that can buy in the market?
4. Significance of the study

The researchers proposed this product to know that there is a

alternative way to make a fire alarm in an inexpensive cost.

To the school: Base on the product, this will make them feel safe around

the school, it may cost cheaper but this will be the warning and make them alert if

there will be an outgoing fire; and be aware in their surroundings.

To the community: This will help them to be alert on their environment;

instead of buying the original product, they can create their own product by using

some materials on their home. Courage them to make a move when there is a

fire.

To the future researchers: They should be the one to know or inform to

the upcoming researchers, about the effect of the cheap fire alarms to the fire

alarm that can buy to the market in an expensive cost. They should have

targeted the positive and negative effects of this product.

To the families in the world: they can create their own homemade fire

alarm without buying those expensive one. Instead of buying the commercial

ones that are more expensive, at the same time the materials are needed are

much cheaper.

5. Hypothesis

The homemade-fire alarm will be an alternative hypothesis. Because

compare to the fire alarm that has been sold on the market, both have the

same composure but our product is more affordable and convenient for the

environment and for the community. But other than typical fire alarms our

homemade-fire alarm has a unique built-in material that easily detects smoke

coming from the fire. It automatically makes noise when it detects smoke to

alert the people around. And it is affordable because it was made from cheap

but high quality materials.

6. Scope and Limitation

This paper will primarily focus on how to device a fire alarm with only

the usage of materials that is commonly seen in most houses. Moreover, this

research aims to construct the mentioned products is more affordable than the

fire alarms retailed in the market wherein it mostly ranges from P600 up to

P1000 according to the researchers. The researchers also envision generate

the product as efficient as the fire alarms that are main-streamed in every store

if possible. Only the procedures on how to create the fire alarm and its

relevance to the public would be discussed in this paper.

The main subject that we’re studying it was conducted to produce a valuable
product and to reuse things at home.
The Researchers aims to construct a Fire alarm which would only

include household materials and would only require household materials. Only

the procedures tackled on how to construct a fire alarm with the usage of

household materials will be discussed on this paper
