This declaration is pursuant to Article (45) of the Federal Decree – Law No. (8) of 2017 on Value
Added Tax and Article (33) of the Cabinet Decision No. (52) of 2017 on the Executive Regulations
of the Federal Decree-Law No (8) of 2017 on Value Added Tax, which allows supply of goods and
services to ships engaged in the international transportation services for passengers and goods to
be zero-rated for VAT.

I hereby declare that the ship transportation service is in one of the following categories (tick as
appropriate):

a) Transporting passengers or goods from a place in the United Arab Emirates

to a place outside the United Arab Emirates (subject to VAT at 0%)
b) Transporting passengers or goods from a place outside the United Arab
Emirates to a place in the United Arab Emirates (subject to VAT at 0%)
c) Transporting passengers or goods within the territorial waters of United Arab
Emirates (subject to VAT at 5%)
