Push the palette if you want to see instructions how to use your own mandalas.
As you see from my web page and from other sources, mandala is known and
used everywhere in the world for thousands of years. It can be even older. This
our universe is a mandala; started with a big bang. Mandala is already in us. We
can rediscover it's use for our own and for our client's healing.
In the mandala there is a center, cardinal points and symmetry. Those mandalas
you see everywhere are mostly done differently than I ask my clients to do them.
It may be best to use squared paper, but you can buy a block of A3-paper and
pastel colours (24 or 36 colors). Make sure that these color pastels are soft
enough. It is a little difficult to use hard ones.
Draw a circle using pencil because it's colour is neutral. Diameter about 19-20
cm.
If you are familiar with meditation, you can meditate 10-15 minutes before you
draw 3-5 first mandalas.
Forget all you have learned about drawing and colours and to forget the colours
you normally like or dislike. Be as you are drawing the first time in his life.
Look at the paper and colors without thinking - and with whole body, not only
with eyes.
Be aware of your feelings, your body. You can touch the paper and colours.
Smell them. Feel them. Be one with them.
If you like, you can concentrate to the whole paper, the circle and the colours.
1. After some time one colour can come somehow important for you.
Let your hand take it.
Let your body decide from where you want to start, how you want to use this
colour and do you start from any point of the paper or from the middle.
2. You can also start so that you be with the center of the circle, and you let your
inspiration (inner guidance) choose the color, and start from that point.
Follow your spontaneous inspirations and idea concerning colors and forms.
If the line of the circle has an influence on you while you are drawing let it
influence, but if not then not.
If you become anxcious and vomit while you draw, let it happen.
If an UFO and some aliens land on your backyard while you draw, ask them to
wait.
When you feel that "now it's ready", then you can finish.
This is the way I mostly ask a person to do her/his mandala. Afterwards you can
draw an arrow on the other side of the mandala (to see later which side has been up
when you drew it), and put the date.
