Please follow this instructions on setting up before your defense:

1. Go to your subject that thesis defense.


2. Click “Virtual Classroom”

3. Click “Join Session “


4. After clicking, a message will prompt “How do you want to join the
audio?” Click “Microphone” after that;
5. A message will appear asking for your permission to access your
camera and microphone. Click “allow” after;
6. An audio test I recommend you to “Test speakers” to verify if there is
an audio output, otherwise troubleshoot it.
7. You’ll notice this:

The purpose of this is to adjust the threshold of you microphone, or


how sensitive you want it to be. If all adjustments are made you may
click next. After,
8. A message will appear, click yes if you’ve test your speakers already
and working.
9. On the top left hand side, make sure the Headset and Camera icons
are checked in green. This means you are sharing the web cam and
mic. Failure to do this will cause delay.
Note: The two icons are not checked by default.

(I’m using desktop that’s why the camera icon isn’t checked)
10. To upload your presentation, communicate with your mentor to
make you the presenter. The presentation icon must be beside your
name(refer to the image below):
11. Once done, you can upload your presentation at the bottom of
the web page. Click the paper with a cross on it.

Note: We recommend you to convert your presentation to PDF file for


faster upload and smooth presentation.

12. Select your presentation and upload it but before you upload it
make sure the file is PDF to avoid the error of your files.

13. Wait for your presentation to appear.

Important notes:
-Use Google Chrome, Internet Explorer or Opera Mini accessing because
the web page requires Flash to operate.
-Download flash if it is not installed in your unit then restart after installation.
-A pop-up saying allowing flash to run in the web page.

- Make sure your internet connection is stable and test your microphone
and camera if working properly. Give yourself at least an hour to prepare
your things to avoid any error and delay in your defense.
