Set the screen resolution and display scaling options
There are several ways to change the screen resolution in Windows 10. One way which always
works is;
Click Start, then Settings > System > Display > Advanced display settings
If you have multiple screens attached, select the screen you wish to change the
resolution on and under Resolution select the desired value.
Note: We suggest you use with the value marked Recommended as this will run your screen at
its optimum resolution and give you the best image quality.

On this page you can also decide if you want to Extend or Duplicate your displays if you have
more than one of them.
Extend means you get a different display on each screen.
Duplicate means both displays show the same information (ideal for projectors).
You can also set the display scaling which alters the size of text and other objects without
adjusting the screen resolution – 125% is often a good compromise between application
readability and the amount of information displayed on screen.
It is recommended that you log out and back in again after adjusting the Display Scaling options.
Note: Some applications do not respond well to display scaling. In the event of an application not
displaying correctly, please make sure you have set the Display Scaling value back to 100%
before contacting the helpdesk.
