SCHOOL CLEAN UP
The English Society of Sekolah Kebangsaan Bukit Quoin is organising an
activity to clean up the school compound.

Date : 28 October 2017

Time : 8 a.m. - 10 a.m.

Venue : School Canteen

We will provide gloves, sickles, rakes, hoes, and garbage bags for you to pick
up the trash. We will prepare some light refreshments for you after the clean
up. Every pupils above the age of ten is encourage to take part.

Section C

Question 1

Two days ago, Natasya joined the other residents of Taman Murni to clean
their neighbourhood. They gathered at the hall early in the morning
and.organised a clean-up. Many residents joined in to give a helping hand.

Some of them cleared the clogged drains while the others cleaned the
windown panes. Natasya helped to arrange the flower pots. His father
mowed the grass using the lawnmower. Pak Yakub trimmed the hedges using
a pair of shears. Pak Daud and Pak Yusuf repaired the broken bench.
Everyone did their part.
 When they had finished cleaning, the residents were delighted to see
Taman Murni looking clean and tidy. They were served with some
refreshements after the clean-up. All of them went home feeling tired but
happy.

Question 2

Last week, Nizam boarded the bus to town. He wanted to buy some
books to prepare for his examination. The bus was full and crowded.
Luckily, he got a seat to sit. There were others who had to stand.

Then, an old man boarded the bus. There was no seat for him to sit.
The old man was too weak to stand. Nizam felt sorry for the old man. He
stood up and offered his seat to the old man. The old man was so grateful to
be able to sit. He thanked Nizam for being so kind.

Nizam was as happy as a lark. He knew that one good turn deserves
another.
