Dear Parents and Guardians

My name is Joshua Lowe and I will be working as a pre-service teacher for the next 23 days

in your child's classroom. I am currently completing a Bachelor of Education (Primary and

Middle) and this is the final placement I’ll be undertaking for my degree. I have worked in

several schools throughout the northern suburbs of Adelaide and have experience in teaching

diverse learners across a range of different age groups. I am looking forward to further

developing my skills as a teacher throughout this placement.

Some of my interests include music, writing and photography. Music is my biggest passion

outside of teaching and in my spare time I like to play the guitar and compose my own music.

I have also been getting into digital music production in recent years, and this stems from my

background in audio engineering. When I’m not studying, playing music or writing music,

I’m outside engaging in either landscape, nature or weather photography. These subjects have

fascinated me since a young age and photography allows me to capture that fascination.

I will be working with the students in your child's class in various capacities both with small

and large groups. I will gradually increase my responsibilities with the students over the

course of the 23-day block. I am excited to work with your child’s classroom this term.
