In her PS II round, she taught English 9, English 20-1 and English 30-2. Karley showed a great deal of enthusiasm in dealing with the class. Karley was well prepared in terms of classroom planning. She developed some very strong lesson plans but was still flexible enough to change them as the need occurred. She prepared various units for the assigned courses. These included worksheets and projects for the students, as well as various activities. Evaluation of students was also handled efficiently. Karley used a variety of methods to assess the students’ progress, including rubrics, informal evaluations of working groups and Journals. Assignments and projects were marked promptly and returned to students with comments focused towards student growth. The students enjoyed her classes and appeared to leam a great deal in her classes. Karley’s strongest attributes are her work ethic, her genuine care for students and her lesson reflection. She approached all classes thoughtfully, considering the various needs and personalities within the classes. Karley was consistently assessing what went well and what needed adjustments in her classroom. She tried to get all of the students actively involved in learning and she was not afraid to make mistakes or try new things. She enjoyed working with the students in her classes and they enjoyed her. I believe Karley will prove to be an effective teacher. She would be a valuable addition to any staff.
