Homeschooling is sometimes also referred to as home education or home-based

learning. The Ministry of National Education officially uses the term "home
school" or "independent school". Homeschooling is an alternative education
model other than schools run by families, which allows children to develop
according to their own potential. Homeschooling itself first developed in the
United States and several countries in Europe. Only then has become a trend in
Indonesia in recent years. But actually if we look at history at the time of the
Prophet Muhammad PBUH, this homeschooling method already exists. How
the Holy Prophet and his companions educated their own families. After the
Companions gained knowledge from the Prophet, then they conveyed it to their
wives and children. Therefore it is not surprising that he said that the point is,
that not a child is born into the world except in a state of fitrah (Muslim), but
how then he becomes a Christian, Yahhudi, or the other is because of his two
masters. It is clear here that parents hold a very vital war in teaching and
educating their children.
