The mum parks outside a corner store with her daughter in the car.

She
asks her daughter, Emily, what she wants from the store and Emily says
she wants chocolate. The mother is dressed in white clothing to signify her
being a protagonist.
When the mother is out of the shot, the audience is then introduced to a
mysterious character dressed in black who has his back to the camera,
walking up to the car. He looks into the car window and then the shot ends.
When the mother walks back peacefully to the car she notices the door is
open and Emily is missing.

She screams Emily's name is distress, suddenly and coincidentally, the

mother gets a call from her ex husband and she tells him what happens, he
calms her down by telling her he will call the police to his (as his house is
very near) and that she should come so she can speak to them. He
reassures her that police are going to look for her.

The mum drives to the dad’s house and they speak about the situation until
the police come. A big hint for the viewers is that the dad is also wearing
dark clothing, the same as the mysterious man. The father seems worried
and helpful in the situation but his black clothes conveys his inner dark
side. The father tells mother to open the door for police whilst he goes ''to
get a photo of Emily''. However, there is a massive twist when the ‘’police’’
shoot her down and the father comes back with a smile on his face. He tells
the fake police to clear up the evidence and he goes into the dark
basement only for the audience to find out that Emily is actually in her
father's house, hiding in the corner of the room, scared and lonely. The
father was the abductor all along.
