Pursuant to Deped Memorandum No. 66, s.

2019 and in line with the


National Trust of the Department of Education, the Oleras Elementary School
implemented the Brigada Eskwela Program or the National School’s
Maintenance, with the theme “ Matatag na Bayan, Para sa Maunlad na
Paaralan” From May 20 – 25, 2019.

One of the main goal of this program, is to ensure the school physical and
curriculum readiness at the start of classes. Thus, all stakeholders concerned are
directed towards improving and maintaining the functionality of school’s
equipment and facilities. Everyone in the community and even those volunteers
from other agencies are encouraged to participate and contribute their precious
time, effort and resources for the realization and success of this activity.
Moreover, teachers see to it that at the beginning of the school year, they can
already teach efficiently by getting ready with their lessons, classroom
structuring, lesson plans as well as instructional materials.

During this 6 – day activity, the spirit of volunteerism, cooperation,


camaraderie and love of work was become visible in Oleras Elementary School.
Private individuals, GPTA Officers, Alumni Association, barangay officials,
parents, pupils, teachers, and other community members extended their
financial assistance, time, strength to Oleras Elementary School. They joined
hand in hand in maintaining the physical beauty and curriculum readiness of the
school which portrayed their love and commitment to education of the school
children and the entire community as a whole.

Truly, success of Brigada Eskwela implementation can be attributed not


only for the group of people concerned, rather it is a product of multiple and
unselfish collaboration of efforts, willingness, time and resources coming from
school stakeholders and other concerned citizens.
