FE EXAM TRUTHS AND TIPS

□ Passing the FE Exam early on can put you on a

career path towards success at a young age.

□ You as an engineer, are in high demand, but will be

in higher demand if you get a PE license.

□ You don’t need to know every subject on the FE Exam

to pass.

□ Set a goal for an overall score. (According to the

data from Michael Lindeburg, PE, CEO of PPI, the
conservative score is 60%)

□ Use the ABC Approach:

o A = List out your strongest subjects, spend
most of your time preparing for them, and aim
to get 85% correct.
o B = List out the subjects that you feel you are
mediocre in and aim for 60% correct on these
subjects.
o C = List out your weakest subjects, learn the
very basic principles, and aim to get 25%
correct.
