STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

The University of San Jose- Recoletos - Main Campus has an approximate of 98

classrooms, and each room needs at least 40 chairs. The university is equipped with all the things
needed in a class for their discussion like white boards, thus they also adopt in the advancement
of technology, and install projectors, TV’s, and etc., to each classroom, but even though they
adopt in the adverse of technology, the university forgot to change one of the primary necessities
in a classroom which are the chairs.

Currently the university is using an armchair that is made of woods and some of those are
already broken, but just been repainted to look new and useable, while some of the chairs were
disposed for it already worn out over the time and these results to the lacking of chairs in some
of the classrooms. Repainting the armchairs may be a good solution for the meantime, but later
on it will bring back the problem and will also give troublesome to students.

PURPOSE OF PROJECT

The main purpose of replacing the armchairs of the university is to address the concern of
some students, which are the stains in their uniforms that they get from the chairs and also there
are some chairs that are already not in good form. A new armchair is the best way to address this
concern because repainting the armchair again is not really a good idea, because it will only
solve the problem for the meantime and will only cost the university a big amount in the long
run.
