Subject: Chase Center at Thrive City to Host a Grand Opening for the Ages
To: Annie Vainshtein, Staff Writer for the San Francisco Chronicle Datebook Section

Hi Annie,

The Chase Center at Thrive City is going to be offering a plethora of unforgettable events this
September to celebrate its grand opening that I thought the San Francisco Chronicle Datebook
wouldn’t want to miss out on any of the coverage. In true San Francisco fashion, the Chase
Center is going above and beyond to give fans an epic arts and entertainment experience.

The Chase Center will open its doors on September 6 and in its opening weekend will host the
historic twenty-year anniversary concert of Metallica with the San Francisco Symphony. The
18,000-seat arena is close to selling out for both performances of the S&M2 concert on Sept. 6
and Sept. 8.

Warriors fans can also participate in the Chase Block Party on Sept. 7 from 12-4 p.m. to enjoy
food, games, and a meet-and-greet with their favorite players.

Thrive City, the 11-acre dining and retail complex surrounding the stadium will be home to over
30 different food vendors offering everything from pizza, to local Bay Area favorites, to Creole
and Filipino fare.

The 3.2 acre outdoor plaza will be a public space continuously used for activities such as
community yoga, a farmer’s market, and an ice skating rink in the winter. The 580,000 square-
foot facility will also host unique artwork that includes 87 original pieces, 250 pieces of
photography and nine museum-quality graphics.

There are many more events and opportunities for the public to explore the offerings of this
amazing new entertainment venue this September. I’ve attached a news release and an
infographic with the highlights.

Please let me know if you’re interested in speaking with our Media Relations representative to
get the details.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
