STUDENT A:
You are doing a holiday job
on telesales and try to sell an
overpriced contract for a new
iPhone. You need the money
urgently.
STUDENT A:
You didn’t want to go to
school and took a “mental
health day”, saying you
were sick. In the afternoon,
you meet some friends in a
café.
STUDENT A:
Your parents aren’t at home
and you give a party.
Suddenly the police are
knocking on the door -
neighbours are complaining
about the noise.
STUDENT A:
You promised to look after
your neighbour’s cat while
the old lady is away, but you
didn’t have much time. Now
the cat is gone and the phone
ringing.
STUDENT B:
The phone rings. Someone
tries to sell you a contract
for an iPhone. You can’t
afford it, but the person
seems to be very nice and
you’d like to meet them.
STUDENT B:
Your laziest student wasn’t
at school today and didn’t
hand in his essay. In the
afternoon, he is sitting in a
café, chatting time away,
and definitely not sick.
STUDENT B:
You went on a short trip,
leaving your 17-year old child
alone at home. You call her,
just to make sure everything
is OK. There is a lot of noise in
the background.
STUDENT B:
You had to leave your
beloved cat for a week and
paid 50$ to the neighbours’
girl to look after her. Now
you want to make sure the
cat is OK.
STUDENT A:
You are calling Lisa. You
want take her out to a
movie. The problem is
that you aren’t sure
about her number and
had two or three beers.
STUDENT A:
You are having a party and
run out of crisps. You lent
the keys of your mother’s
car to a 18-year-old friend
to get some more at the
petrol station.
STUDENT A:
You borrowed your sister’s
favourite top without
telling her. While you are in
a pub, someone spills red
wine all over it. The top is
ruined.
STUDENT A:
You met a nice boy at a party
last weekend and spent the
whole evening together, but
then doesn’t phone you the
whole week. You meet him
again in town. You are angry.
STUDENT B:
You answer the phone. The
person on the other end of
the line is clearly drunk and
wants to speak to Lisa. No
one in the house is called
Lisa.
STUDENT B:
You were on a party when
the host ran out of crisps.
When you were getting
some more, you drove
into the fence. You are all
right, but the car isn’t.
STUDENT B:
Your sister keeps taking
clothes from your wardrobe
without telling you and
without washing them.
Now your favourite top is
missing.
STUDENT B:
You met a nice girl at a
party last weekend and
spent a great time with her,
but lost her number. When
you see her again, she is
furious.
