Phonics!
Phonics is the study of the relationships between letters
and the sounds they represent; also used to describe
reading instruction that teaches sound-symbol
correspondences.

Some activities you can do at home with your child that they will
enjoy are the following….

• Clip the Magic E- print different pictures with labels and have
your child clip the one that follow the rules.
• Hide and Seek Words: put letters in a bin and have your child
pull out different letters and make a word.

Helpful hints at home:

• Label things at home and have them write down the base words.
• Use shaving cream to allow them to write words that contain a silent E.
