EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 04

Series of 2018

REORGANIZING THE BARANGAY DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL OF BARANGAY

POBLACION, DANAO CITY, CEBU.

WHEREAS, there is a need to reorganize executive and sectoral committee to streamline

process and on the whole strengthen the Barangay Development Council as an institution;

WHEREAS, the Local Development Council is one of the mandated local special bodies
pursuant to Section 106 of the Local Government Code of 1991;

WHEREAS, Section 106 of the Local Development Councils stated “Each local government
unit shall have a comprehensive multi-sectoral development plan to be initiated by its development
council and approved by its Sanggunian for the purpose that the development council at the provincial
city, municipal or Barangay level, shall assist the corresponding Sanggunian in setting the direction of
economic and social development and coordinating development efforts within its territorial
jurisdiction.”;

NOW THEREFORE:

I, CALVIN B. TUADLES, Punong Barangay of Barangay Poblacion, Danao City, Cebu by

virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby ORDER, as follows:

SECTION 1. REORGANIZATION. Barangay Development Council of Barangay Poblacion

to be composed of the following:

SECTION 2. FUNCTIONS. The Barangay Development Council (BDC) shall perform the
following functions and responsibilities:

 Mobilize people’s participation in local development efforts;

 Prepare barangay development plan based on local requirements;
 Monitor and evaluate the implementation of national or local programs and projects.
 Perform such other functions as may be provided by law or competent authority.
 SECTION 3. MEETINGS. The Barangay Development Council shall meet as the need arises
and it shall be held upon the call of the Chairman or the Punong Barangay. No meeting shall take place
unless a written notice is given within a reasonable time.

SECTION 4. REPEALING CLAUSE. All prior local orders and issuances with regard to the
creation, composition, meetings and roles and responsibilities of the Barangay Development Council
inconsistent herewith shall be deemed supersede by this Order.

SECTION 5. SEPARABILITY CLAUSE. If, for any reason or reasons, any part or premises of
this Order shall be held to be unconstitutional or invalid, other parts or provision hereof which are not
affected thereby shall continue to be in full force and effect.

SECTION 6. EFFECTIVITY. This Executive Order shall take effect immediately.
