The INDION disaster management unit produces safe drinking water conforming to stringent 1S 10500 standards. Treatment The INDION disaster manegement unit consists of ultrofiltration, reverse osmosis and ozonation modules which con be used in combination, depending on the quality of woter to be treated. Itis designed 10 produce 5000 litres per hour drinking woter from any surface water supply having low (<200 me/|) total dissolved solids (TOS) and 2000 litres per hour from brackish water sources like ground water with TDS as high as 2000 mg/l Ultrafiltration: This membrane based process removes all undissolved impurities including suspended solids, colloidal impurities, bacteria and viruses and a large number of organic compounds like pesticides ond detergents. Reverse osmosis: Also o membrone bosed process, it removes dissolved impurities (salts| from brackish water to produce potable water having low dissolved solts, This process is ideolly suited to drought prone arees. Oronation: This consists of an ozone generator unit which produces ozone gas in sity and a mechanism which introduces the ozone gas into water to kill all bacteric ond inactivate viruses.
