Case Study #2
How would you describe the problem in this case?
A: When reading through this case study we run into many
minor problems, but the overall major problem is the bad co-
worker relationship Jennifer Gordon starts up with her
cooperating teacher when she begins her second half of her
student teaching assignment. It seems that Jennifer is having a
hard time getting along with Mrs. Williams since she has made it
obvious by her actions that she has a problem with Jennifer and
the way she takes about with the children in her class. The
first problem we see as we read is when trying to agree on the
time Jennifer is to be at her student teaching school. Mrs
Williams also causes other minor problem by her imprudence when
speaking towards Jennifer about her actions. Mrs. Williams does
not seem to be a good mentor, she is just causing tension and
discomfort
Having a good relationship with your cooperating
teacher while shadowing on an assignment is very important
because they will be the ones molding and teaching you for when
you're ready to have a class of your own.
