Graduation Thoughts

Collected by Douglas Kurt Gregor C. Diola & Dinah Jane Martinez

As the extremity of my twelfth and last grade nearly approaches, thoughts of

familiarity start to tremble within the deepest core of my mind. The colors of springtime will
start to get too bright to be more or less alluring, and then we will part ways with what we
have known for a very long time. Now, I perceived that I am truly blessed to have
something, such as my alma mater, that makes saying goodbye so painful.

The beautiful thing about gaining knowledge is that no one else can take it away from
you. Things may be a little bit unsure, you need to learn to select your thoughts, just the
same way you select your clothes everyday: new beginning, new chapter, new endeavours,
and new challenges. May God’s grace be with us as we step towards our dreams. Let us
keep the courage as we face new challenges in life.

Patrick Jack L. Merano, Gr12-Gneiss

Graduation day is drawing nearer. I am happy because after a long time, I will be
advancing to a higher level of education. But the sad thing about it is I will be missing my
friends, classmates, teachers, and Alma Mater. But I know this is a part of one’s life. Well, I
can’t wait to walk with my parents while receiving my diploma!

Like music, life is very short. It has beginnings and it has endings. So live freely,
think deeply, word harder, and do something remarkable, and most of all, never give up.
Then, work silently, and let your success be your noise. That is what high school taught me.

Christian Jay Abecentado, Gr12- Gneiss

Six years have passed unnoticed.. I could hardly believe that after struggling
with difficult lessons, going to school despite bad weather, answering and reviewing our
academic papers, and the unforgettable experiences that we had, then, these are almost
over. I could not contain the happiness I felt until this day not only because it is a momentum
for us graduates but we should give due recognition to the excellent efforts and support of
our parents, teachers, classmates, and friends throughout the years.

Rey Mark Malavega, Gr 12- Gypsum

Graduation is an open door that will serve as a brand new beginning to a new
journey. It is the outcome of all those laughter, tears, failures and spending late nights just to
accomplish many things. Graduation isn’t the end because it is just the commencement for
all of us to pick up the missing pieces, in order the build our Lego house.

Angelica Aveen D. Marron, Gr12-

It was a whole new world when I first started high school. I felt like I had an endless
time to think, experiment and grow. There were times when I felt small, times when my
expectations didn’t meet or I let someone down…Every struggle, every triumph, all of it in
one awesome unforgettable experience. And now I can smell the breeze kissing my skin
walking on the scarred pavements of this land. The pavements which led to a place I have
entered for the past 60 months of my life. I am now bidding myself goodbye for I have
succeeded this war.

John Nicko S. Rubia, HUMMS, Gr12 Granite

My most awaited moment of my life - Graduation Day! I am filled with mixed

emotions. I did not only learn a lot of things in school, I experienced real fun and true
friendship. I will surely cry, but this time it is not because of tons of work in school, but
because of the joy and the memories of togetherness with my classmates and friends. I will
not forget those wonderful moments, surely, these will be cherished in my entire life..
