REAL LIFE STORY

Elver (Storyteller): In the following sketch, we show a case in which sexual harassment

is evidenced in a public transport whereabouts.

We will observe how a victim, stalker and witnesses act.

FIRST PART

Elver: Kristel is an ordinary girl who goes to her usual university classes, already at the
bus stop to board the bus and go to university. When she notices that a man behind her,
he looks at her suspiciously. Then, Miguel (the stalker) goes to her and tells her...

Miguel: Uauau, your eyes are two grapes, your mouth an apple; what a good fruit salad
we would do with my banana

Elver: Kristel very nervous and fearful says...

Kristel: excuse me what's wrong with you

Miguel: Blessed are the drunkards, for they shall see thee twice

Elver: Faced with this situation, we observe that the “girl” is harassed, and on one side
there is a young man whose situation seems to be indifferent or is afraid of facing the
stalker. The passive witness starts thinking
Cristobal: Poor young lady who has to live this moment. This person seems very

dangerous. I intervene or I do not intervene, what do I do? Should I help her?

SECOND PART

Elver: In the scene we observe that a young man is approaching, this when noticing the

girl's discomfort proceeds to consult him about the situation.

Kid: Is everything ok here?

Kid: what's up with you? Why do you bother Miss?

Elver: kid takes out his cell phone to call the authorities. On the other hand, the stalker

responds

Miguel: Hey, brother I wasn't doing anything. Everything is in that girl's head. She is

crazy, for God's sake. He receives no attention and imagines things.

Cristobal: Excuse me, but notice that you looked at her very often. Nobody would like

to live this moment, think that this could happen to your sister, mother or any woman in

your family.

Kid: What's up with you? I'll call the police right now, this can't be repeated again.

Here, the mister is describing what you were doing.

Elver: The authorities quickly arrive to detain the subject.

Kristel: Thank you, thank you very much. I was afraid that something happened to me,

it had happened to me before and nobody helped me so I said nothing, but you ( Kid)

helped me, just like you ( Cristóbal).

Kid: In Peru, 13% of women between the ages of 18 and 34 have been victims of sexual

harassment, these results show the large number of women who are daily exposed to be

harassed in public places. Therefore, all people have the right to feel comfortable in all
public spaces, we must face all cases in which sexual harassment of women and men is

evident, because only in this way will the statistics of women (who are the most

affected) harassed in public spaces.
