Dear St.

Joseph Families,

As you have heard, Hurricane Dorian has devastated the Bahamas and
parts of Florida. When devastation such as this happens, we always
read about and hear about people who stepped up when help was
needed the most. For example, the Michigan Humane Society recently
transported and took in 37 animals from Florida so their lives would be
saved from Hurricane Dorian.

It is our hope that we can come together as a school family to help this
organization care for these rescued animals. With your help, we are
hoping to donate many items that are needed the most in this time of
need. In order for this to be a success, we are asking that each grade
level be responsible for bringing a specific item. Please see the other
side of this sheet to see which group is bringing in which items.

We hope you will be willing to help us with this mission. If your family is
able to donate, please send in items to your child(ren)’s classroom
teacher. We will be collecting these items from Monday, October 14th
to Friday, October 25th.

Thank you for giving us all an opportunity to help animals in need.

Sincerely,
St. Joseph Catholic School Staff
