Devi Navarathri Celebrations

Sunday, September 29, 2019 – Monday, October 7, 2019

At Shiva-Vishnu Temple, we will be celebrating Devi Navarathri event from Sunday, September 29, 2019 through
Monday, October 7, 2019. The nine day event will be celebrated at Goddess Kanaka Durga Prayer Hall.
Navarathri represents celebration of Goddess Durga, the manifestation of Deity in the form of Shakti [Energy or
Power]. The Navarathri festival or ‘Nine Nights festival’ culminates with Vijaya Dasami. During Navarathri event,
abhishekam will be performed for Goddess Kanaka Durga every day, adorned with special alamkaram every day
and worshiped with fervor and devotion. On Friday, October 4, 2019 Kumkumarchana is planned for greater
devotee participation. Please mark your calendars & plan on participating in all the events with family and
friends and receive divine blessings.

Navarathri Vastra Sponsorship (Vasthra Samarpana) Details
Shiva Vishnu Temple will be providing traditional Kanchivaram Pure Silk Sarees for a suggested donation of $221 for
devotees to offer to Goddess Kanaka Durga during Navarathri abhishekams. Devotees will be able to select the vastrams
(Kanchivaram Pure Silk Sarees) at Front office and indicate preferred date for adorning the vastram on the deity.
Devotees can take the saree back after Vijaya Dasami
