Introduction
Elasticity is the ability of a substance to
restore its original shape and size after
deformation.
Types of materials according to its
Elasticity:
 Elastic materials
Materials that restore its original shape
and size after deformation.
 Inelastic materials
Materials that cannot restore its original
shape and size after deformation.
Hooke’s law
 a scientist called Robert Hooke
discovered a law for elastic
materials.
 Hooke's Law
Gives the relationship between the
force applied and the extension so
long as we don't exceed the elastic
limit
Aim of the experiment

 Verification of Hooke's law.

 Determine the spring constant (K).
