Lab 2: Wireshark Assessment (Sniffing Activity )

Objective: to sniff packet of network, to gain username and password using wireshark.

1) What is sniffing network? (2 mark)

A process of monitoring and capturing all data packets passing through given network. It also
analyses network traffic.

2) Scan and Run your wireshark in your computer. (PC/Laptop connected to the internet)

3) Provide the capture of packet that filter only http packet. (2 marks)

4) Using your web browser, go to the link http://www.stealmylogin.com/demo.html and test

using dummy as username and password

5) In filter, type using http.request.method==POST . Provide the screen short of packet that show
of username and password using TCP stream in wireshark. (6 mark)
