Brighu Chakra Paddhati

 Sat Aug 24, 2013 6:44 pm

Hi,

Came across a 12 year cyclic system called Brighu Chakra Paddhati (BCP) in Saptarishi Astrology website.

The basis of BCP is 1 sign = 1 year of native's life.

Starting from lagna, birth to 1st year is ruled by 1st house, 2nd year by 2nd house, 3rd year by 3rd house, until
12th year by 12th house. The second round starts with 13th year again from 1st house. The third round starts
with age 25 from 1st house and so on.

For example, if you want to predict what may happen in a native's 25th year (corresponding to 1st house as per
BCP), you must consider the planets in the 1st house, the 1st lord, the planets that aspect the 1st house, the
planets that conjoin and aspect the 1st lord.

The question is, how to differentiate between the 1st year, 13th year, 25th year, 37th year, 49th year, 61st year
... etc, because all these years correspond to the 1st house. In order to differentiate, one must look at the
transit of Jupiter, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu. For example, if in the 25th year of the native, Saturn happens to
transit over the native's natal lagna, there could be delays in the good results promised by 1st lord.

Note that Jupiter covers 1 sign per year approximately in transit. Therefore, if in the native's natal chart,
Jupiter is in the 4th house, then during any particular year of the native, Jupiter will be most probably in the
4th sign from the ruling house corresponding to that year. Or Jupiter may be in transit in the 3rd or 5th because
of retrogression or accelerated movement.

I applied this system to a few charts and they seem to give satisfactory results.

I request the esteemed members of this forum who have tried out this method to share their experiences here.
Thanks and Regards,
Krishna

Hi,

Mahatma Gandhi's chart is analyzed below according to BCP method. Very good results were obtained.
Noname.gif
Marriage - May, 1883
He was in his 14th year which corresponds to 2nd house (signifies family) in the natal chart. No transits of
natural malefics like Rahu / Ketu or Saturn over the 2nd house during this period.

Left for London to study law - 4th Sep, 1888

He was in his 19th year which corrosponds to the 7th house (signifies long journey / voyage). No transits of
natural malefics like Rahu / Ketu or Saturn over the 7th house during this period.

Passed law exam - 12th Jan, 1891

He was in his 22nd year, which corrosponds to 10th house (signifies professional achievements). No transits of
natural malefics like Rahu / Ketu or Saturn over the 10th house during this period.

Immigration to South Africa - April 1893

He was in his 24th year, which corrosponds to 12th house (signifies exile, going away to foreign land). In April
1893, natural malefic Saturn was retrograde at around 15deg Virgo, his 12th house. Note that in the natal
chart, Sun is at 16deg Virgo.

Humiliated / discriminated because of race by being thrown out of the train - June 1893.
Again, he was in his 24th year, which corrosponds to 12th house (signifies misery). In June 1893, natural malefic
Saturn became direct at around 13deg Virgo, his 12th house. Note that in the natal chart, Sun (signifies
respect, honour) is at 16deg Virgo. He had to spend a miserable night shivering in the waiting room at
Pietermaritzberg railway station.

Founded Natal Indian Congress to fight color prejudice - 22, Aug, 1894
He was in his 25th year, which corresponds to 1st house (signifies character, purpose of life). In the birth chart,
the 1st house is very strong with the 1st lord Venus situated there, forming Mahapurusha Yoga. Moreover, there
are raja yogas formed by the presence of 1st, 7th and 9th house lords in the 1st house. No transits of natural
malefics like Rahu / Ketu or Saturn over the 1st house during this period.

Started on a voyage to India - 18th Oct, 1899

He was in his 31st year, which corresponds to 7th house (signifies voyage, journey). No transits of natural
malefics like Rahu / Ketu or Saturn over the 7th house during this period.

Returned to South Africa at the growing demand and pressure from Indians there - 20th Nov, 1902
He was in his 34th year, which corresponds to 10th house (signifies profession, achievements, honor). No
transits of natural malefics like Rahu / Ketu or Saturn over the 10th house during this period.

Founded the Phoenix Settlement near Durban - Nov. 1904

He was in his 36th year, which corresponds to 12th house (signifies ashram, withdrawal, seclusion). No transits
of natural malefics like Rahu / Ketu or Saturn over the 12th house during this period. The 12th house is
especially significant because the Phoenix settlement was run like an Ashram. It was intended to put into
practice the values he stood by during his lifetime - self-help, dignity of labor and simplicity. Though the
original intent was that 'Indian Opinion', his weekly paper, should be printed at a farm away from the city, this
was a place where everyone would labor, and draw the same salary.

Mahatma Gandhi's chart analysis continued ......

Returned to India for good - 9th Jan, 1915

He was in his 46th year, which corresponds to the 10th house (signifies achievements, public honor). No transits
of natural malefics like Rahu / Ketu or Saturn over the 10th house during this period. Note the significance of
the 10th house. A hero’s welcome awaited Gandhi when he landed on January 9, 1915, at the Apollo Bunder in
Bombay. Three days later he was honored by the people of Bombay at a magnificent reception in the palatial
house of a Bombay magnate Jehangir Petit. The Government of India joined with the people of India in
showering honors on Gandhi. He received a "Kaiser-I-Hind" gold medal in the King’s birthday honors list of 1915.

Arrested after the Chauri Chaura incident - 10th March, 1922

He was in his 53rd year, which correspond to the 5th house (signifies devotion, accumulated good karma). No
transits of natural malefics like Rahu / Ketu or Saturn over the 5th house during this period. 5th house cannot
indicate an event such as imprisonment. But what he did during the term is certainly indicated by 5th house. An
observer noted that Gandhi was not only serene but ‘festively joyful’ during the 100-minute trial. During his
term of imprisonment, his literary and religious studies which had been neglected in the midst of other
activities were resumed. This period of imprisonment was for Gandhi an "arrest cure", as Tagore once put it,
though there must have been the occasional pin-pricks and hardship associated with prison life.

Gandhiji’s resolution on Complete Independence was adopted - 31st Dec, 1929

Started his famous Dandi March to break the Salt Law - 12th March, 1930
He was in his 61st year, which corresponds to the 1st house (signifies character, purpose of life). In the birth
chart, the 1st house is very strong with the 1st lord Venus situated there, forming Mahapurusha Yoga. Moreover,
there are raja yogas formed by the presence of 1st, 7th and 9th house lords in the 1st house.Natural malefic
Ketu was in transit over Libra, the 1st house around this period.

Arrested and imprisonment without trial - 4th May, 1930

He was in his 61st year, which corrosponds to the 1st house (signifies character, purpose of life). How can 1st
house signify imprisonment? Natural malefic Ketu was in transit over the 1st house at 10deg Libra. Note that in
the birth chart, Ascendant is at 7deg Libra. His very purpose in life was to show strong character in fighting
non-violently against injustice, and imprisonment as a result was also welcome.

Founded Sevagram Ashram at Wardha - 1936-37

He was in his 68th year, which corresponds to 8th house (signifies poverty, suffering, obstacles). Natural malefic
Ketu entered Taurus, the 8th house on 6th Feb, 1937. Here, Gandhi occupied a one-room hut. Those who came
to see him during the rains had to wade through ankle-deep mud. The climate was inhospitable; there was not
an inhabitant of this village who had not suffered from dysentery or malaria. Gandhi himself fell sick but was
resolved not to leave Sevagram. When Dr. John Mott interviewed him in 1937, Gandhi’s was the solitary hut. But
before long, a colony of mud and bamboo grew up. A leper was housed next to Gandhi’s hut so that he could
tend him. Work in the village was an arduous and slow affair; it was plodder’s work, as Gandhi once put it.
Eventually, Sevagram became a center of the Gandhian scheme of village welfare. A number of institutions
grew up in and around it to take up various economic and social upliftment related works.

Addressed All India Congress Committee of Bombay and Quit India resolution was passed - 8th Mar, 1942
He was in his 73rd year, which corresponds to the 1st house (signifies character, purpose of life). In the birth
chart, the 1st house is very strong with the 1st lord Venus situated there, forming Mahapurusha Yoga. Moreover,
there are raja yogas formed by the presence of 1st, 7th and 9th house lords in the 1st house. No transits of
natural malefics like Rahu / Ketu or Saturn over the 1st house during this period.

Assassinated - 30th Jan, 1948

He was in his 79th year which corresponds to the 7th house (maraka house, signifies death). In the birth chart,
Jupiter, the 3rd and 6th lord is in 28deg Aries, the 7th house. On the 30th Jan, 1948, natural malefic Rahu had
already crossed 28deg and was at around 26deg Aries.

Hi,

Below is the chart of Naturam Godse, the assasin of Mahatma Gandhi.

Noname.jpg
Godse was hanged to death on 15th Nov, 1949.
He was in his 40th year, this corresponds to his 4th house. In the birth chart 2nd lord Moon and 7th lord Jupiter
are both in the 4th house. Note that both 2nd and 7th houses are maraka (death inflicting) houses. Therefore,
during the 40th year, both maraka planets got triggered. Also, natural malefic Ketu was in Virgo, the 4th house
during this period.

Below is the chart of Rajiv Gandhi.

Noname.gif
Assassinated on 21st May, 1991
The 2nd lord Mercury, 3rd lord Venus, 7th lord Saturn, 8th lord Jupiter and 12th lord Moon are all potential
marakas. Except Saturn, all the other marakas are in the ascendant with the ascendant lord. Saturn is in the
11th and aspecting the ascendant, its lord and all the other marakas.

At the time of his assassination, he was in his 47th year which corresponds to the 11th house. This house
contains the maraka Saturn. Also, Ketu a natural malefic, was in transit in the 11th house in Gemini during that
period.
