SUBJECT: Immersion of Batches 5 and 6 of Local Mandarin Teachers at

the Fujian Normal University, Peoeple’s Republic of China
and Summer Training of Batches 7 and 8
Dear Ms. Andaya:
Greetings from the Confucius Institute at Angeles University Foundation (CI-AUF)!

CI-AUF invites Batches 5 and 6 of Local Mandarin Teachers to participate in the

Immersion Program at the Fujian Normal University, in Fuzhou City, People’s Republic of China
from April 25 to May 18, 2018. The immersion program will give our local Mandarin Teachers
opportunity to strengthen their knowledge and skills in speaking, listening, writing, and reading the
Mandarin language. Please find attached list of qualified participants who have completed the
summer training and follow-through requirements.

Participants are responsible in paying for their Chinese Visa Application fee of PhP1400.00.
On the other hand, Confucius Headquarters/Hanban will shoulder the travel costs in China,
including hotel accommodations, group meals, as well as local and inter-city transportation costs.
CI-AUF will be responsible for getting sponsor(s) for the airline tickets.

Also, on April 17 to May 12, 2017, Batches 7 and 8 of Local Mandarin Teachers will
have their training at the Angeles University Foundation. CI-AUF will take care of the food and
accommodation of the participants during the training. Please help us determine the participants
coming from new implementing schools to be included among Batch 8 trainees.

Please find attached proposed lists of participants for the Immersion Program and Summer
Training (Batch 7) activities.

We hope that your good office will grant permission to the potential participants to join the
programs.
