At first I thought Mathematics in the Modern World would be some simple arithmetic

and other easy mathematical operation but I was wrong. At the very first activity in this

subject I already felt how hard the subject is. For me this subject is the hardest among all the

subjects that I have now but I will make sure that I will make extra efforts and pass this

subject and survive this semester.

In the first chapter of the lesson, I learned that mathematical symbols can be

translated into words and at first I was a little bit confused of some symbols but in the long

run I understood it. Mathematics can really be applied in our daily lives.

In the next chapter the truth table, which is a tabulation of possible truth values of a

statement depending on the value of its constituent statements. At first I did not understand

the symbols used in the truth table because I am not familiar with those symbols. But later

on I realized that the symbols used in the truth table has the same function with the symbols

we are using in our programming subject. Only the symbols are different but the function

itself is totally the same so it made the truth table easier for me to understand.

The next chapter was all about geometry, to be honest I didn’t pay attention in my

geometry classes way back in junior high school which was the biggest mistake of my life so

I’m struggling in this topic and I have to make extra effort in order to learn geometry.

I hope that the next chapter would take it easy on me because honestly I am not

really good in math but I will make extra efforts to make myself better in Mathematics in the

Modern World.
