Instructions for “Roadmap to Moles” Organizer

General Instructions:
Working alone, complete the provided organizer based on the “Roadmap to Moles” lesson. We
will be using the following website for our lesson (https://studylib.net/doc/5640075/the-mole-
road-map). If you are unsure of anything, raise your hand to ask for help.

Detailed Instructions:
Part A contains two tables for you to complete.
The first is a partially filled organizer that has some examples on what to place in each column.
You will be learning about five terms (mole, mass, molar mass, particles, and volume) and how
they all connect to moles. Fill in the missing sections using information from the lesson.
The second table is an empty space for you to record “important constants” that you will come
across.
Some questions to think about:
How do these terms relate to chemistry (the study of matter)?
Why do we want to convert to moles?
What are “constants?”

Part B is to be completed using the information you’ve compiled in Part A. This will be a visual
tool for you to see what we’ve learned this lesson. Remember that the goal is to learn how to
convert given “amounts” to moles!
