Sunflower (2014) is a Malaysian short film directed by Quek Shio Chua.

The film is about a

young girl named Ping that struggling for a long time to find a permanent job as a make-up artist. She
has a grandmother who admitted in a hospital due to cancer. As we can see from the film`s she take a
good care of her grandmother.

The main goal of this film is a person named boss try to ask a young girl named ping to work
with him. A job that makeup the deceased. currently Ping try to find a permanent job as a makeup artist.
She work as a part-time makeup artist.

The conflict in this film is Character vs character. Ping want to be a makeup artist to make up
model but she got offer to makeup the deceased. Boss, a character that work as a person in charge to
makeup the deceased invite Ping to join him. Try to refuse Boss offer because she didn’t want to makeup
the deceased. second is character vs enviroment. Ping feel uncomfortable with her new profession as
deceased makeup. dit
