 Religious Tourism
Religious tourism is the temporary and
short-term movement of people to
destinations outside the place where they
usually live and work and their activities
while living in these places in order to visit
religious places.
The motive of religious tourism is to fill
leisure time, to have fun, relax, study and
religious activities. Besides all these
activities can benefit the perpetrators both
physically and psychologically both
temporarily and for a long period.

Al-Lathiif Mosque in its activities always campaigns about "Hijrah" which means it
changes for the better.

Many activities from Al-Lathiif and Shift support the goals and campaigns for the
better.

4. Social activities such as helping people around

5. Regular Meetings and Mentoring

 OPPORTUNITIES
● More business opportunity for the
locals
The locals can open small stores which
sell food and beverages or small
merchandises about the mosque or the
“Shift” program for visitors.
● More people are willing to
donate/give charity to the mosque
The more people come to the mosque,
the more donations the mosque can
receive for the construction of the
mosque itself
RISKS
● Pollution (Air and Noise)
● Due to the number of people visiting the mosque,
the noise may disturb the nearby area as it is
located in a housing complex.
● Induced Traffic
● The road around it is quite small as it fits maybe
one or two cars at a time. If we consider the facet
that the mosque lacks a considerable amount of
parking space, it is almost inevitable that high
traffic will occur if the mosque becomes a
destination for tourism.
● Increase in Waste Production
With more activities will be conducted in the
mosque there will be an increasing number of
people going there. This will increase the number
of trash being generated by the people who visits
and attend the activities that needs to be managed.
Overcoming the Risk
● To overcome both the air pollution and induced traffic, one way to bypass this is to create a
partnership with various taxi groups (Go-Car, GrabCar, Blue Bird, etc.). This partnership is
necessary to create cheaper access (by making promos) to the mosque. The taxi would only
drop the tourists and leave the area, thus minimizing traffic. Moreover, since we are using
pre-existing cars in Bandung to transport the tourist, the increase in pollution should’ve been
minimized.
● The increasing of the waste can be balanced with increasing the number of trash bins around
the area and hiring cleaning service employees. Making board signs that could create
awareness for the tourists to keep the area clean also could be done as prevention.
