Srimad Bhagavatam Mahatmym Chanting Details :

 Srimad Bhagavatam Mahatmym is found in Padma Purana

 There are two stories which are told in mahatmym. The story is
how Bhakthi Devi’s distress is relieved and how she is
established in every ones heart and secondly how her sons
jyana and vairagya regain their conciousness and are
established in every one hrydhyam who are listening to Srimad
Bhagavatam Maha purana. The second story is how Gokarna
by reciting Srimad Bhagavata Maha purana, delivers
Dunthukari who took the form of ghost due to sins.

 The mahatmym has 6 chapters with each chapter with about 85

slokas.

 Hearing the glories of Srimad Bhagavata Maha Purana through

this mahatmym is auspecious as sravanam(hearing) is very
pure.

 The mahatmym is recited separately which is auspecious.

 It is recited mainly before doing Srimad Bhagavata Saptaha

parayanam.

 Please recite these slokas before Srimad Bhagavatam Saptaha

parayanam or seperately whenever prayed.
