CHAMPIONSHIP 2019

1. With reference to the abovementioned championship, we would like to inform that Perlis
Woodball Association (PWA) was entrusted by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture
(MOTAC) and as consented by HRH Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, the Crown Prince of
Perlis and the Oatron of Perlis Woodball Association to organise the Perlis lnternational
lnvitational Open Woodball Championship 2019.

1.0 TOURNAMENT RULES

1.1 Technical Rules

I This tournament is played by "Stroke Play" and "Fairway Competition" and
scores are counted by "Self-Scoring".

This tournament is run accordtng to the new rules as stipulated in the

technical rules issued by lnternational Woodball Federation (lWbF).

Concurrent rules issued by Tournament Director during the championship

briefing to all team managers will be applied in order to speed up the game.

1.3 Reg istration of Players

Men or women team category, maximum registration is limited to 6 players

and they are qualified to plau both single and team category and a total
strokes of 4 best players afe counted to determine the winner of the team
category. Any team which has less than 4 players is allowed to play for the
ind ivid ual category on ly.

Novis Category only open to the players who are conslder as a beginner and
never have experience represent their association or country in any
international events unless they are lunior age below then 18 years old.

Registration of players must be completed by using the registralion form

provided by the organiser before or on the last date of the registration as
mentioned in the registration form/invitation letter.

1.4 Equipment and Attire during the Tournament

Tournament equipment (mallet and ball) must be of "Hui King" or "Jack King" and
"Dr Pat" that was only the brand name have authorised by lWbF can be used in
the tournament. Organiser is not responsibie for providing equipment facilities in
th is tournament.

Sdort attire during the tournament is governed by types of attire that is allowed in
the rules of lWbF. Nevertheless, jeans or its equivalent are Strongly prohibited.

1.5 TournamentRefreshment

I Light refreshment or drinks are provided by the organiser during the entire
tournament period. Lunch is provided only to the players on the competition day.
Dinner is provided to those players who participated in "Fairway Competition" only.
(NOTE: depends on budget approval).

1.6 Tournament Venues

All tournament category will be executed in the following courses

. Dato Sheikh Ahrnad Square - for all Fairway Competition.

. UiTM Perlis Woodball Courses - for all Open Stroke Competition
. KMP Woodball Course - for all Novis Stroke Competition.

Organiser has the right to change any, courses/venues without due informing any
of the competing team. The designation of the venues which has been decided by
the Tournament Director during the meeting is final.

1.7 Deciding the Winner

1.7 1 Decrding the winner for the team category

For men and women team categories. the total strokes of the 4 best
players in the team for overall 48 fairways will be counted t0
determine the winner.

lf the scores ties, the wrnner will be decided by taking into account
the lowest total strokes by the best players in the team, followed by
players no. 2 until players no 4.

1 7.2 Deciding the winner for individual category

12 players who scored the lowest strokes for 24 fainvays

(Open/Novis Category) in the preliminary round will be qualified t0
compete in the final round for the individual category.

In the final round, the 12 sard qualified players will be required to

compete again in an additional 12 fairways.

Winner for the individual category will be determined by the lowest

strokes for overall 36 fairways which have been played throughout the
championship

lf there is still a tie, OCB (On Count Back) counting will be done
where the counting will be based on the lowest total strokes for
12 fairways.

1 7.3 Determination of winner for Novelties category "Gate in One"

"Gate in One" category is opened to all players in the preliminary/early
round only in the fairway as determined by the organiser.

lf there is only one player who has made a "Gate in One" stroke, he is
/ entitled to take away lhe overall prize as offered by the organiser for
this category.

lf there are two or moTe winners. the prize will be divided equally to all
winners based on the value as determined by the organiser.

1 7.4 Determination of winners for Double and l\/rxed Double category

Winners for Double and Mixed Double category is counted based on

the total lowest strokes for 24 faiMays as played.

lf the results ties, the most number of total lowest strokes for the 12
fairways will be considered as the winner.

1.t.5 Determination of winner for Faimay Competition category

Fairway Competition is executed on one against one basis. The

competition witl be determined by balloting during the Team Managers
Meeting

All competition wlll be executed at Dato' Sheikh Ahmad Square

Woodball Course at 8.00 pm

' AIr category wil compete for 12 fairways or untir an absorute winner is
determined. rf in. the said 12 fairways, there is stil no absorute winner,
then a sudden death round will be played until an absolute winner oi
the competttjon is determined.

1.8 Fees

1.8.1 Open/lnternational lnvitation Category

. Registration fees for Team category (6 ptayers) is RM3O0.0O and
the
same players are also qualified to participate in the individual category

Any prayer or team officiars who wish to remonstrat6 is required to put in
