LEAVE OF ABSENCE

15 Days Vacation Leave

15 Days Sick Leave

Note: For teacher who enjoy 2 months summer vacation, this doesn't apply.

MATERNITY LEAVE

Question: Can all pregnant teachers avail of maternity leave with full pay?

Answer: YES.

"Section 13. Every woman, married or unmarried, may be granted maternity leave more than once a
year. - Maternity leave shall be granted to female employees in every instance of pregnancy irrespective
of its frequency." Amendment to the Maternity Leave Rules

Should be availed in continuous and uninterrupted manner

105 calendar days

Can also be availed if miscarriage happened

PARENTAL LEAVE ( for solo parents)

7 working days

has rendered at least 1 year

Question: Who are considered solo parents?

Answer:
 * A result of rape and other crimes

* Death of spouse

* Spouse is detained for at least one year

* Physical or mental incapacity of spouse

* Legal Separation or nullity of marriage

* Abandonment of Spouse for at least 1 year

* Any family member who assumes the responsibility of head of family as a result of the
death, abandonment, disappearance or prolonged absence the parents or solo parent.

PATERNITY LEAVE

Married teacher is entitled for 7 days leave

Applicable on the birth of FIRST FOUR CHILDREN of LEGAL wife

SICK LEAVE WITH PAY

to be charge against service credits

OTHER PRIVILEGES

Funeral or Mourning Leave ( nearest relatives)

Graduation Leave for Spouse or Children

Enrolment Leave

Wedding Anniversary Leave

Birthday Leave

Hospitalization Leave

Accident Leave

Relocation Leave

Government Transaction Leave

Calamity Leave

Note : You are not entitled to these leaves if you are enjoying the two months long vacation.
