TEACHING INSTRUCTION

-- Adult Basic English

I. Goals and Objectives

 This course chooses daily topics and very basic expressions (including greetings,
chats, office talking, etc.), catering to the needs of students who know nothing
about English. There are Chinese translations in the teaching materials for students,
tutors please ignore them.
 This course aims at teaching students the basic expressions and letting them
remember them.
 Teachers are supposed to help the students to remember all the expressions and can
use them in practice.

II. In-class Activity Suggestions

 Leading Reading: For the students have little English knowledge, tutors need to
lead them to read every word and expression.
 Pronunciation Correction: This is supposed to be all along your class, and right
pronunciation is very important.
 In-class Review: Follow the instructions on the teaching material, Ask the students
about the new sentences and word to check the teaching effectiveness and help
them review.

 Role Play: You can do this to make class more interesting, but only when time
allows.
