PEARL BARLEY AND ITALIAN

SAUSAGE MINESTRONE
Tefal Multicook and Grains

Method:

1) Squeeze sausage meat from casings and roughly chop. Set Browning
Program #12 at 160 degrees. Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in the multicook
bowl. Add ½ the sausage and cook for 2-3 minutes or until golden
brown. Use a slotted spoon to transfer sausage to another bowl. Repeat
with remaining sausage. Remove sausage once done.
2) Add ½ tsp of olive oil to multicook bowl and add onion, garlic, pancetta,
carrot, potato and celery. Cook, stirring for 5 minutes or until onions
golden. Add zucchini, tomato, barley and sausage. Cook for an
additional two minutes.

Time: 35min Serves: 4 3) Add stock and tomato paste. Set to Soup Program #15 for 30 minutes.
Add spinach and season with salt and pepper. Serve soup topped with
