This document summarizes a study on providing midwifery care to mothers experiencing premature rupture of membranes during labor. The study used Hellen Varney's 7 step midwifery management approach to care for two mothers admitted with premature rupture of membranes. This included assessing the mothers, diagnosing any potential problems, anticipating needs, intervening with oxytocin and APN induction, and evaluating the care provided. The results found that the mothers' general conditions improved with this care, though one required a vacuum extraction due to fatigue. The goal of using this approach was to care for mothers with premature rupture of membranes without complications.

ON LABOR WITH PREMATURE RUPTURE OF MEMBRANES Oleh : YULI DWI LESTARI(2016.03.027)
Childbirth is the process of fetal discharge occurring in
term pregnancies (37-41 weeks), born spontaneously with a back head presentation without complications of both the mother and fetus. Labor will be dangerous if not handled properly and can cause complications, one of which is premature rupture of the membranes, wherein the membranes rupture before the signs of labor occur. The purpose of this study was to provide midwifery care to maternity mothers with early rupture membranes in the delivery room at Blambangan Hospital. This research method uses Hellen Varney's 7 steps midwifery management approach. The first step is to conduct a study to obtain subjective and objective data, determine the interpretation of basic data, determine the diagnosis of potential problems that can arise in labor with premature rupture of membranes, determine anticipation of immediate needs, arrange interventions, implement and evaluate care given to maternity with premature rupture of membranes. The results of midwifery care at delivery to Mrs. "Z" with complaints of discharge from the birth canal were examined with an opening of 1 cm. And Mrs. "A" with complaints of fetal movements decreased as usual, there is mucus mixed with blood and discharge from the birth canal, there is an opening of 2 cm. The client was given a 60-step oxytocin and APN induction, although there was 1 case of labor performed with vacuum extraction due to an indication of the patient's fatigue. It is expected that with the provision of Midwifery Obstetrics with Early Rupture of Maternal Care the general condition of the mother will improve, there will be no complications.
