The Presidential Spokesperson, Salvador Panelo took the challenge to ride on a public transportation to

prove that there is no occurrence of mass transportation crisis yet in Metro Manila. Going to
Malacanang, he ride a jeep from 5:15 am and arrived at the Palace which made him late for 46 minutes.
Panelo seems did not succeed with the challenge. The challenge he accepted is an example of no matter
how early we wake up every morning for the sake of arriving early to our destinations, it doesn’t stop
the existing struggles on everyday lives of Filipino citizens. After Panelo did the challenge, lots of
criticisms were thrown at him. As he responds, we just have to be creative, because that is what
Filipinos are. It is clearly devastating how he came up with a statement like that. Filipinos were not
supposed to experience a hostile situation and must be resolved by the government immediately,
because it is their duty to make a development within every crisis we engage in our country.

To solve this kind of issue, it must first admit by the Government that transportation crisis really exist.
Commuters experienced it everyday when they go to schools and offices. Specially during rush hours
where a bunch of cummuters were running for a vacant seats just to get home early. For me, Panelo’s
Statement were absurd
