Explain the legislative process in the Parliament. (25 marks) QUESTION 2 a) Explain the types of consideration according to the Contracts Act 1950. (10 marks) b) Sarah lost her bag which contained a digital camera. She advertised in a newspaper Utusan Kini a reward of RM500 to anyone who found and returned the camera to her. Liza found the bag at a car park and returned it to her. Liza only knew of the reward promised the next day after reading the advertisement in Utusan Kini. Advise Liza whether she can claim the RM500 reward from Sarah. (15 marks) QUESTION 3 Explain the types of agency as provided under the Contracts Act 1950. (25 marks) QUESTION 4 Section 27 of the Sale of Goods Act 1957 provides that “...where goods are sold by a person who is not the owner, the buyer acquires no better title to the goods than the seller had...” Explain the above provision and its exceptions. (25 marks) QUESTION 5 In February 2015, Ram entered into a hire purchase agreement with Hebat Finance Bhd for a car for a period of 5 years. In September 2017, Ram suffered financial difficulties and could not pay for the instalments. Two weeks ago, Ram received a notice of intention to repossess. Ten days later, the agents of Hebat Finance Bhd towed the car from Ram's house while he was asleep. They left a notice in his letter box stating that the car has been repossessed due to his failure to pay the instalments and the car will be auctioned off. Ram. was upset over the incident.
