This is the installer which utilizes necessary configuration automatically set at the maximum level
for such as ETIMS.

3. Run Installer
Language Selection Screen
Select a preferred language to be displayed in
the course of installation.
In order to quit installation,

please click on Cancel button on any screen.

Please just click on the Next button.

Select Destination Location

Either enter a directory or select a directory by
clicking on the Browse button then click on the
Next button.

Component Selection
Select software components for installation then
click on the Next button respectively. The
following available software components
depend on each business and vary per customer.
• Device Installation: It‟s possible to choose

device related files to be installed and it‟s a must
selected one at any time. Please refer to
APPENDIX A. DEVICE INSTALLATION for
further information on this topic. Figure 3-4. Component Selection
• Use Database Feature: If you wish

database option/feature used within ETIMS then
please tick this option. Also please have a closer
look at APPENDIX B. USE DATABASE
FEATURE for more details.
• Entec PCT (Protection Coordination

Tool): If you would like a stand-alone PCT
utility/program, this is for you choice.

Select Start Menu Folder

Input a folder name added to Start menu then
please select the Next button.

Select Additional Tasks

If you would like shortcut(s) resided on Desktop
then please tick the option and click on the Next
button.

Ready to Install
All the necessary options have already been
selected for installation, so that please select the
Install button in order to proceed further.

All Done
This is the final stage. Please tick
“Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005
Redistributable Package” item then press the
Finish button to complete the whole installation
process.

Tick the relevant items related to devices for

your use then select the “Select Device” button.

APPENDIX B. USE DATABASE FEATURE
Database Installation Information

When both “Password for „sa‟ account” field and
“SQL Server Installation Directory” field are
filled in then „Install SQL Server‟ button will be
automatically activated.
• Password for ‘sa’ account: Figure B-1. Database Installation Information

This is a password input field in order for
configuration of database connection. Password
you entered should be easy enough not to forget.
• SQL Server Installation Directory:

In this directory, the pre-determined database
engine will be installed. The database engine is
internally used within ETIMS.
Database Connection Test

Next screen will be automatically showed up
only if a connection test to database is succeed
when „Connection Test‟ button is selected.
• Password: It‟s the only option to make a

successful connection test if both password
entered on this screen and the other password
already entered in “Password for „sa‟ account” Figure B-2. Database Connection Test
field prior to this screen are identical.
• SQL Server: Whenever the list for this is

dropped down, it will automatically try to
determine an item consisting of your computer
name and SQLEXPRESS associated with SQL
database already installed on your machine.

Database Table Creation

Compulsory database tables will be
automatically created here. Please click on the
Close button to see the next screen respectively.
• ReRun: This button acts recreation of database

table. It‟s unnecessary to select this button again
unless very specific or rare case.

APPENDIX C. LOG FILE
You can email us to get our immediate technical support or response if there is any issue with
installation.
Log File Name Detail

C:\Entec_Installation.log Log file name in regard to the whole installation
procedure.
C:\ETIMS_DatabaseConfiguration It‟s a log file created whenever the user selects „Use
(Created on Month-Day-Year Hour- Database Feature‟ option.
Minute-Second).log
E.g.
C:\ETIMS_DatabaseConfiguration (Created on 12-29-
2011 9-28-5).log
