D. ‘Schools Division Superintendent SUBJECT: Basic Training Course for Troop and Kawart ders in the Revised BSP Training Scheme DATE: August 18, 2017 i, In preparation for the forth coming BSP Camporal this September 2017, there will be a 3 Day Division Basic Training Course for Troop and Kawan Leaders in the Revised BSP Training ‘Scheme, on September 1-3, 2017 at Vallehermoso Central School. 2. Participants to this training are the following: Guihulngan and valichermoso Secoridary — 17 paiticipants Guihuingan North District ~ 25 participants Guihuingan South District - 25 participants Vallehermoso District - 24 participants Division Office Personne! ~ 5 participants 3. Participants should bring their Type A uniform, Type B Uniform, Neckerchief, Carabao Slides, beddings, camping gears, jeans, white and Colored t-shirts for the activities. 4, A registration fee of One Thousand Seven Hundred Pesos (1,700.00) shall be charged to. each participant to cover meals and snacks (from A.M snacks of September 1 until lunch of September 3, 2017), certificates, training materials-and other administrative expenses, 5. Registration, for travelling, and other incidental expenses of the schoo! participants shall be charged against the School MOOE/School GAD Fund or other local funds while the division personnel shall be charged against Division GAD Fund/Division MOOE. subject to usual accounting and auditing rules and regulation. 6. Schools Division Superintendent TRAINING DESIGN LTITLE: Basic Training Course for Troop and Kawan Leaders It, RATIONALE: ‘Scouting is an activity geared towards developing character, citizenship and life's skills needed by male and female individuals to somehow cope in this fast changing society, With the new trends and updates in scouting and with the huge number of newly hired teachers, male and female, who have not undergone the Basic Training Course in Scouting, the Division of Guihuingan City in coordination with the Boy Scouts of the Philippines Negros Oriental - Siquijor Council will conduct A 3-Day Basic Training Course in Boy Scout of the Philippines on September 1-3, 2017 at Vallehermoso Central School. This activity also ensures the achievement of the BSP Vision and Mission Statements. Itis expected therefore thet the 3-Day training, the participants Male anc: Female teachers, are expected to effectively deliver their learnings to their learners and develop in them patriotism, character, and values worth emulating and the life's skills that would bring out the best in them. iit. OBJECTIVES: th Explain why Scouting is a very effective contributor to the solution of the problems of Philippine society; Make plans for the self-development of male and female teachers of this division in order to strengthen their capability in performing their responsibilities as Kawan/Troop Leaders Plan the activities necessary for the effective development of the character of their Boy Scouts thereby enabling them to be responsible, disciplined, concerned. and. self-reliant citizens in their home, in their Troop, in their institution, in their ‘community, and in the outdoor; Participate in a Commitment Ceremony as an outward sign of their decision to accept fully and wholeheartedly, Scouting, its mission statement, its principles,the Scout Method, and the policies of the Boy Scout of the Philippines. EXPECTED OUTPUT: At the end of the 3-day Basic Training Course, the Troop/Kawan Leaders would be able explain the contribution of scouting in nation building; to craft the Patrol Meeting Plan, Annual Troop/Kawan Program Planning and the Training Assignment; and deliver effectively the Scouting activities and programs per scouting schedule.
