Dear Sir:

Greetings!

I am writing to apply for a position as a nurse in your hospital. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science
degree in Nursing from the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center, Inc.
(UERMMMCI) last April 2012, and passed the June 2012 Philippine Nurses Licensure Examination. Given
my educational background and training I believe that I can contribute significantly to your health care
system.

Through my clinical rotations, I gained strong skills that prepared me for the challenges of being a
competent and dedicated nurse. My experiences have given me the confidence in providing holistic care
to my patients, and I was able to develop my skills in promoting a good nurse-patient relationship. I am
organized, sharp, and careful which enabled me to work efficiently even under pressure. I also have the
capability to work well with other healthcare professionals and establish a peaceful working
environment. I am always eager to learn more and not afraid to develop new skills for personal and
professional growth. Working in a promising institution like yours will provide a great opportunity for
me to best utilize my skills.

I am very interested to begin my career as a nurse at Tagbilaran Maternity and Children’s Hospital and I
strongly believe that my education, training, and skills best qualify me for the position. I would be
grateful to meet and further discuss with you my qualifications. I will contact you next week to follow-up
my application.

Thank you for your time and effort to review my resume and I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Maria Isabelle T. Borja, BSN, RN
