Scope
In this study, I will be evaluating 3 different brands of headphones. They will all be wireless and noise
cancelling. The 3 I will be reviewing will be the Beats studio 3, the Bose 700 and the Sony WH-1000 MX3.
In this study I will be looking at the durability, how long the headphones last, how much wear and tear
they can take, and secondly the performance of the headphones. The sound quality, battery life among
other things. Lastly, I will be looking at the prices of these headphones, are they at reasonable price and
are they really worth the price based on the two other aspects of the headphones. When looking at the
durability basically you want your headphones to last. The heavier the headphones aren’t necessarily
the best. Finding one in the middle of light and heavy is what you’re looking for. Too light and they have
a better chance of breaking. Secondly, we’re looking at the performance of the headphones you’re
looking for dynamic range, frequency range, sensitivity and making sure the bass is at a comfortable
level. Lastly the price. You want to make sure the price is in your budget range and you want to buy the
best quality headphones for the price you’re paying. In these evaluations I hope to give you an idea on
making the right choice in choosing headphones that you feel comfortable with including the durability,
sound quality and the price you paid for them. Making your music experience even better.

BEATS STUDIO 3
The BEATS Studio 3 were about midlevel durable. When stretched and pulled there were some creaks
and some of the seams separated. They are sweat proof but not waterproof. Overall they seem pretty
durable. The dimensions of they are 7.2” and about 9.17 oz. Battery life when fully charged and Noise
cancelling turned on the battery typically lasts up to 22 hours and for a quick charge of 10 minutes you
get about 3 hours of listening. The application for the BEATS phone application is very easy to use.
Connecting very easily to your phone. These headphones are very bass heavy. Those who are looking for
bass these are the perfect headphones for you. Midrange frequency is where clarity and detail of the
instruments are heard whereas vocal seem to come in a bit muddy and not as clear. High range it
performs decently. Clarity and sharpness aren’t very apparent. Bass heavy music is preferred with these

Conclusion
All of the headphones seem to have their own strengths and weaknesses. Depending on the music you
listen to and when you choose to listen them whether in be on a plane ride, a walk through the park,
sitting in a public place or working out all seem to have great noise cancelling capabilities. The Bose
headphones out shine the other headphones when it comes making calls and answering calls. Sound
quality is slightly better than the Beats. When it comes to the Beats headphones the beats are great
when it comes to bass heavy music and working out with them, which the other two headphones aren’t
sweatproof are great for people who are physical. The SONY 1000XM3’s are just a very well rounded
pair of headphones. Sound quality is excellent, Battery life is outstanding and durability seems to be the
best out of all 3 pair of headphones. All 3 headphones seem to be comfortable and compactible. The
Beats and the Sony’s are about in the same price range while the Bose headphones are a bit on the
expensive side at $400.00. Overall it comes to preference. Whatever works for you. Though if you’re
looking for a well rounded, fairly priced pair of headphones the Sony 1000 XM3’s perform well in each
category. Everything you’re looking for in a pair of headphones. The Sony’s might be the headphones for
you.
