Expected outcomes

i) The average female to male participation rate for the income group ‘Upper Income
Countries’ would be greater than that for ‘Middle Income Countries’ which in turn would
be greater than that of ‘lower middle-income countries.
ii) There would be a high positive correlation between GDP per capita and the female to
male participation rate
iii) The world average as well as each income group average of female to male participation
rate in the labor force would increase over the time period.
iv) The average rate of change of participation rate over the time period should be in the
descending order: low income countries > middle income countries > high income
countries
