Abstract

This work has an interconnected goal that is to understand the issue of "fear for the
infrastructure", addressing jointly the social reality from the symbolic dimensions presented
by the imaginary, as the visible representations of intangible ideas in society. The analysis is
performed in specific areas of the city, such as avenue 10, the backbone of The Avenue
Caracas, the 26th street avenue “El Dorado”, the seventh, the stadium Nemesio Camacho el
Campin, and among other places that will be understood through the analysis of the
imaginary and the symbolic. To do this is necessary an analysis on the characteristics of the
individual that could be found in these areas, the difference on socio-cultural context and the
inter-connections of mind, that are created in the individual. The imaginary, are determined
through matrices of sense, which will give the reader a presentation on the mental behavior
that passers-by have to affront through the spaces before mentioned. The city of Bogotá, is a
city rich in history and historical facts that are shared between their passers-by, which leads
to an intersubjectivity that individuals are constituted from the relationship subject-society
that results in the exposure of the city. At the same time, it will conduct an analysis against
the statistics collected and that have a correlation of growth with the insecurity and the feeling
topophobic embodied in the citizen.
