ISSB - General Information
ISSB stands for Inter Services Selection Board. It is a well-reputed board of Pakistan to select
candidates for defense forces of the country in the following:
Army
Air Force
Navy
ISSB has a sophisticated system of selection. It assesses candidates on the basis of their mental,
physical, moral and social skills for selection for the above three categories. Apart from
assessing the general proficiency, it is also ensured that the candidates must have the special
skills to complete their initial training successfully and perform their services during
challenging situations efficiently.

2. OUT DOOR TESTS
Group discussion
Group planning
Group tasks
Command tasks
Individual Obstacles
3. INTERVIEW
Test Places: The candidates are called to ISSB Malir, Kohat, Gujranwala and Quetta
Cantonment or other Test Centers for ISSB tests. The candidates are required to stay for four
days at the Cantonment/Test Center for the tests. All the tests are scheduled to be held at
different days within these four days.
The courses/categories to join army, air force and navy are as follows:

The courses of each category (e.g. army, air force, navy) are separately advertised in the
Newspaper.
The next registration for courses of Army is likely to start in June 2017.
The next registration for courses of Air force is likely to be from 4th July to 18th July 2017.
