History
Carpet was first developed in central Asia, in Persia.
Mongol King looted the carpet of Persia.
Babur missed the luxury of Persia, which included Persian
carpets.
He brought the weavers of carpet from Persia to India.
In India, carpet weaving was fully introduced by Akbar in
1580AD.
Jahangir helped in flourishing the carpet weaving.
Persian Carpet
These carpets are made by Persian knots.
They are widely made in Iran, central Asia, India, china and
Pakistan.
Examples of these carpets are kashan, Gabbeh and Isfahan etc.
Turkish carpet
These carpets are made by Turkish knots.
They are made in turkey and some area of Iran.
Examples of these carpets are Mahal, Hamadan and Heriz etc.
Each block in the graph represents single knot. The different color in
the graph denotes the different color dyed yarn used in the carpet
weaving.
