WC Gist task
Give the handouts to the students. Tell them to listen to the audio about Mike
I and Emma discussing city life and to answer the question ‘how do they feel
about living in the city?’ from exercise 1b. Play the tape.
Then tell the students to check answers in pairs. Listen to their conversations.
P Tell the students to get back again in order to correct the exercise as a class.
Give feedback on content and language. Try to elicit vocabulary and grammar as
much as I can.

Hold the exercise sheet on my hands and tell the students to look at exercise 2b.
Tell them that they have to use the phrases in the box to complete the sentences

P questions from 2b. Choose a pair of students and tell them to ask/answer the
WC first question in order to give an example.
