No. SC Monitoring Comm. / (DTF)/2018//éc 2 Dated:-12/04/2018 Sub: Report on demolition/ encroachment removal drive carried out by District Task Force (South) in and around Mehrauli Archeological Park on the direction of Monitoring Committee Constituted by Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. 1. The Supreme Court Monitoring Committee had issued directions vide letter dated 23.03.2018 to the District Task Force (DTF), District South to take legal course of action to remove all the encroachments/ unauthorized constructions found in and around the Mehrauli Archeological Park and submit action taken report within a week in this regard. (Copy of Letter is annexed as Annexure-1) 2. In this regard, a joint inspection was carried out by the Halqua Patwari along with the DDA staff, A.S.I officials and Wagf Board Staff for identification of encroachment in and around the Mehrauli Archaeological Park. 3. It was reported that encroachment and unauthorized constructions are found on the Government land in and around the Mehrauli Archaeological Park in Kh.Nos. 5, 300, 301, 302, 471/276, 485/277, 245, 240, 241 in village Ladha Sarai and 316, 332 and 333 of village Lado Sarai. The land grabbers are encroaching on the Government land and running illegal nurseries and some unauthorized juggies are found on the Government land. 4. To Comply directions of the Monitoring Committee, an urgent meeting of District Tasic Force (District south) was held on 23/03/2018 wherein it was decided to take action against the unauthorized construction and encroachment on Government land in and around the Mehrauli Archeological Park. In the meeting following decisions were taken: . a. It was decided to carry out encroachment removal programme on 12.04.2018 on the sites where encroachment and unauthorized constructions were identified by the team of DDA and Revenue Dept.b. It was decided that ‘all the reli during the demolition drive. (Copy of Minutes of Meeting is enclosed as Annexure -2) us structures will be protected 5. Notices dated 23/03/2018 and 05.04.2018 were served to the encroachers / unauthorize occupants on the Government land in and around the Mehrauli Archacological Fark. Regular announcements were done to convince people to remove the encroachments. 6. The demolition drive was carried out peacefully on 12.04.2018. The Supreme Court Monitoring Committee visited during the demolition drive and monitored the drive. Photographs are annexed. 8. The encroachment removal drive was conducted peacefully without any incidents. Following department/ resources utilized in this drive:- a. Revenue Staff, District South b. The Monitoring Committee inspected the above mentioned area on 15.03.2018 alongwith DDA and SDMC officials and during inspection it has been observed that encroachment and unauthorized construction in and around Mehrauli Archeological Park is growing day by day. Encroachment is identified such as Nurseries, Jhuggis, in Sheds etc. in violation of the Zonal Development Plan of DDA. This is also violation of A.S.|. As per the Revenue record the land bearing Kh.No.5 of village Ladha Sarai is recorded as Sarkar Daulat Madaar. The Waaf Board representative is asked to submit all the relevant documents within 02 days. (Action by Wagf Department). District Magistrate (South) informed that DDA shall lead the demolition programme & will arrange labour & sufficient JCB’s, Dumpers etc. for the demolition. (Action by DDA). Sufficient Police force will be arrange! (Action by DCP (South) Traffic Police shall be deployed by. the DCP (South) for smooth traffic management on the road from Lado Sarai, to the Chattarpur Metro Station The SDM (Mehrauli) informed about encroachment in Kh.No. 1307 of Fatehpur Beri. It is decided to plan demolition programme on 17/04/2018 on the Gaon Sabha land in Kh.No.1307 of village Fatehpur Beri. (Action by BDO (South) and SDM (Mehrauli).
