CONCLUSION:

In conclusion, severe flooding can negatively impact Caribbean territories by damaging

infrastructure, creating landslides, contaminated water which can be a fatal health hazard to

citizens, depletion of agricultural crops and a fall in the tourism industry. These negative impacts

can result in a downfall both economic; a fall in National Income/ GDP, Economic Growth and

the Standard of Living/ Quality of Life, and social; an increase in the occurrence of diseases etc.

There are solutions that can be implemented in order to prevent or reduce the occurrence of

flooding such as proper disposal of waste, development of proper drainage etc. Every citizen in

the Caribbean has a role to play in the prevention of flooding in order to eliminate the hazards

attached to flooding and as such citizens need to become more aware of the dangers it creates.
